We have measured the amount of carbon emissions per m² for SpeedSet and Wooden Sets. To make a fair comparison, we need to take into account that SpeedSet can be used repeatedly. Here we show SpeedSet‘s reduction of Co2 in % over a wooden set when used 15 times, even though it could be used much more.

SPEEDSET AIMS TO IMPROVE,

NOT REPLACE CONVENTIONAL WOODEN SET BUILDING

SpeedSet is mainly designed for standard interior sets, such as an apartment, a hospital, a police station, an office complex, a restaurant, or a bar etc. You can choose to combine SpeedSet with traditional wooden-set building instead of opting for one or the other. The guideline we recommend is: If a SpeedSet part can easily replace a wooden-set construction part, then use it. Why? Because it's better for the planet and your budget.

The SpeedSet panels are also weather-resistant, so you can use them for outdoor sets.

 

TURN; NOT BURN

Having more than 25 years in the Set building business, we have learned that a conventional wooden set surface once covered with paint, wallpaper, or plaster etc is only with huge effort separable from the wood after the set is used. As a result, in that state, the wood is generally scraped and incinerated. This is a significant amount of the Co2 emitted when using wood.

 

LIFE CYCLE ASSESSMENT

We used the LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) from our suppliers, the ÖKOBAUDAT portal compliant to EN 15804+A2, the Green-Shooting Co2-Calculator, and the help of Green-Consultants to compare the Co2 impact of SpeedSet and wooden Sets. Green-shooting consultants confirmed our results.

 

THE FOLLOWING ADVANTAGES

... for the environment (and also the production costs) are not included in the Co2 balance. However, they all contribute to reducing emissions.

  With SpeedSet, the studio can be set up and cleared more quickly. This saves time, electricity, and heating. In addition, the studio rental period is reduced.

   We reuse doors, windows, and skirting-boards etc. rather than buying new ones.

   Due to the low weight and small space requirements, fewer transport trips are required. Also, SpeedSet has built-in sockets, so there is no need for extra trips by electricians.
